Developing Personal Skills for Leadership

WorkSkills is a flexible, new set of BTEC qualifications suitable for learners of all ages and at all stages of their working lives. WorkSkills work towards arming learners with the skills they will need to gain and maintain employability in this day and age.

The development of leadership skills is an important aspect of employability. Whether these skills are used formally in a managerial or supervisory role or informally to lead a small group of people or to relay instructions, learners will benefit from knowing how to develop these skills and use them effectively at work. The unit introduces the learner to the concept of effective leadership and encourages them to develop the skills to make basic decisions and give instructions as part of a leadership role.
