Producing a Product
WorkSkills is a flexible, new set of BTEC qualifications suitable for learners of all ages and at all stages of their working lives. WorkSkills work towards arming learners with the skills they will need to gain and maintain employability in this day and age.
This unit offers learners the opportunity to develop the necessary skills for choosing an appropriate product to produce. Valuable entrepreneurial qualities and ideas will be gained from being involved in a production activity on a small scale. Learners will gain an understanding of simple production processes, know how to work safely and be able to demonstrate practical skills through the use of tools and equipment. Learners will also carry out some evaluation of their end product.
