Workskills – Preparing for an Interview Entry Level

The unit will introduce learners to the most important aspects of preparing for an interview. The focus is on forward planning and understanding how careful research of the position and the organisation can enhance the applicant’s chances of completing a successful interview. Learners will know how to prepare an understanding of the role / job / course / placement for which they are being interviewed and be equipped with the knowledge to answer the interviewer’s question fully.

The learner will be expected to:

1. Know what the job / placement / course which they are applying for entails

2. Be able to prepare responses for likely interview questions

3. Know that it is important to pre-plan travel arrangements and dress appropriately for the interview
