This unit will help learners prepare for work placement. Learners will find out key facts about the organisation providing the placement, the role they will be expected to undertake, the working hours and the attitudes and behaviours that will be expected of them.
The learner will be expected to:
1. Know the function of the company / organisation where they plan to do the placement
2. Know what is expected of them during the placement, including hours of work, job role and attitudes and behaviours
3. Prepare a list of goals which includes skill development, to help them achieve the most out of this work placement
