Workskills – Safe Learning in the Workplace Level 1

Health and Safety is a crucial part of work experience and it is important for the learner to be aware of the risks and hazards they could face in the workplace. The learner will gain an understanding of the risks and hazards present in the workplace. The learner will develop a knowledge of their own responsibilities in the workplace and will know the role they play in minimising the risk of harm to self or others in the workplace.

The learner will be expected to:

1. Understand risks and hazards in the workplace

2. Know how to reduce risk of harm to self and others

3. Know what actions could be taken to reduce the risk of harm to self and others in the workplace
