Setting personal targets is an important work practice for motivating employees and helping them to understand their own performance. The unit will help learners to understand what targets are and why they need to be set in the workplace.
The learner will be expected to:
1. Understand how to set personal targets at work and identify aspects of job roles which require setting and reviewing of targets
2. Agree a personal target with an appropriate person and record this in an appropriate manner
3. Carry out a review of a personal target previously set and identify at least one aspect of the target that has been successfully achieved
