The aim of the unit is to develop problem solving skills for use in the workplace. The learner will find out how to identify workplace problems and seek appropriate sources of help and support. The learner will consider a number of problems that may arise in the workplace and identify a simple set of steps to solve these problems.
The learner will be expected to:
1. Be aware that a problem or issue has arisen which requires problem solving skills
2. Be able to access sources of help and advice that will assist them in solving work related problems
3. Know a range of appropriate ways to solve problems arising in the workplace
