Workskills – Working in a Team Entry Level

Employees rate teamwork as a key requirement for employability. The unit will help the learner to understand how they can work well as a part of a team and why this is a key requirement for anyone entering the workplace. The learner will undertake a task as part of a team and will be expected to understand their role within the team. The learner will understand how to communicate appropriately with other team members and be able to consider their own strengths and weaknesses.

The learner will be expected to:

1. Indentify the key rules and individual skills needed for effective teamwork

2. Know how to match their strengths and interests to a team task

3. Know what role they are expected to assume and identify their own roles and responsibilities in achieving the task

4. Review their own performance
