Award in Education and Training (AET) is a nationally recognised qualification for teaching in post-16 education (i.e. adult education) and has been designed as the essential first step for anyone looking to gain a teaching/training qualification. The AET will provide an introduction to teaching for individuals who would like to or are currently delivering adult education and training within FE colleges, Independent Training Providers or work based learning environments.
The Level 4 Certificate in Education and Training (formerly Certificate in Teaching in the Lifelong Learning Sector - CTLLS) is accredited with Edexcel and is for anyone looking to progress in their role as a teacher or trainer.
The Level 3 Certificate in Assessing Vocational Achievement qualification is for learners aged 19 and above. This is the same course some people call TAQA. It is the course that has replaced the old A1 assessor course, also known as the Assessors award.
This qualification is intended for those who assess both occupational competence in the work environment and vocational skills, knowledge and understanding in environments other than the workplace (for example a workshop, classroom or other training environment).
The VTCT Level 4 Certificate in Leading the Internal Quality Assurance of Assessment, Processes and Practices qualification is a practical-based qualification intended for those leading a team of internal quality assurance staff or for those seeking a career progression within an internal quality assurance team.
